Iuliana Precupețu
Iuliana Precupețu, PhD, is a senior researcher at the Research Institute for Quality of Life of the Romanian Academy and at the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest. She is a sociologist whose work focuses on quality of life, health inequalities, and social exclusion in later life. Her current research interests include the links between social exclusion in older age and mental health, as well as the use of life-course approaches in quality-of-life research. Most recently, she coordinated the AMASE research project - A Multidimensional Approach to Social Exclusion in Later Life: Health Consequences for Ageing Populations - and led the work package on the integration of older people into the labour market within the European Labour Market Under Pressure: New Knowledge on Pathways to Include Persons in Vulnerable Situations (PATHS2INCLUDE) project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme.
Laura Tufă
Dr. Laura Tufă is a Researcher with interests in several areas: ageing, working lives and
employment strategies, housing trajectories and inequalities, research labor, and research
ethics. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Bucharest with a thesis ethical
practices in research labor. She is currently a researcher for Research Institute for Quality of
Life (Romanian Academy) and the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB)
since 2020.

Delia Bădoi
Dr. Delia Bădoi holds a PhD in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and at the University of Bucharest (2015). Currently, she is a researcher specializing in the sociology of labor and social policies at the Research Institute for Quality of Life (Romanian Academy) and an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work. Since September 2025, she has been a Fellow at the Research Institute of the University of Bucharest (ICUB-SSS) within the award-winning project "European Labor Markets Under Pressure – New Knowledge on Inclusion Pathways for Vulnerable Groups (Paths2Include)." In recent years, she has also collaborated with the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) in Bochum, Germany, on a project examining digital platform visibility and the academic engagement of marginalized researchers from the Global South.
Corina Ilinca
Corina Ilinca is a habilitated lecturer at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, where she teaches courses in social statistics, data analysis, and social issues related to aging populations. Her research interests include quantitative methodology, ageing, social inequalities, digital skills, and AI capabilities nowadays. Dr. Ilinca has published on topics such as cognitive and sensory aging, digital skills, and social determinants of health.
Marian Vasile
Marian Vasile is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, where he teaches courses on social statistics and quantitative data interpretation. He has extensive experience in international research projects and is a member of the Group for the Study of Social Values in Romania, which implements the international surveys World Values Survey and European Values Study. In recent years, he has been involved in research projects aimed at increasing the social inclusion of the elderly. He is interested in understanding the relationship between the contexts in which people live and their mental health. Recently, he has been paying particular attention to understanding the factors that drive individuals to join informal groups practicing recreational sports activities. In summary, his research interests fall under the umbrella of quality of life and social inequalities.
Rosa Maria Radogna
Dr. Rosa Maria Radogna is a researcher at the University of Bucharest’s Research Institute and a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work. She earned her PhD in Sociology with a thesis focused on Romanian migrant women working in Italy’s elderly care sector. Her primary research interests include migration, aging, and care work.
Aniela Matei
Aniela Matei is a senior researcher at the National Scientific Research Institute for Labour and Social Protection – INCSMPS, leading the Social Policy Department. Sociologist, with MA degree in Communication and Public Opinion and a PhD degree in Sociology from the University of Bucharest, she has over 23 years of experience in implementing national and international research projects in the field of social policies within INCSMPS. Aniela Matei has extensive experience in social inclusion projects of disadvantaged groups, including elderly (MoPAct- Mobilising the Potential of Acting Ageing in Europe – FP 7 project, Quality of life for Dependent Elderly in Romania – project financed through PSCD program of the Romanian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Methodology for continuous monitoring of the quality of care in the institutions providing long-term care services – project financed through PSCD program of the Romanian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, AMASE research project - A Multidimensional Approach to Social Exclusion in Later Life: Health Consequences for Ageing Populations etc.)
Cosmina Pop
Dr. Cosmina Pop is a sociologist and Scientific Researcher III at the Quality of Life Research Institute of the Romanian Academy. She obtained his PhD in sociology at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work (University of Bucharest) in 2010 with a thesis on the subjective dimension of quality of life.
Her field of research is focused on quality of life, being interested in the subjective dimension of quality of life, social indicators, social inequalities, health status, children's quality of life, quality of life of the elderly and the course of life.
